For those of you who’ve had the opportunity to travel to Europe as a tourist, your senses can quite easily be overwhelmed. Looking at the “Mona Lisa” from just a few feet away; tilting your head to capture the lean of the Leaning Tower of Pisa; and staring at the wonder of Stonehenge are just a few of the majestic sites you can see that impact much more than your vision.

For Dayana Nunez, it was visits to Italy that changed her life.  As she put it, “In our travels to Italy it was evident that romance and passion are central factors in the Italian way of life.  There is beauty everywhere you turn; the architecture, food, people and fashion.  There is a certain air of confidence inherent in the culture, which boasts sex appeal.  With each return to this breathtaking land, one thing became clear: that the products produced in Italy have unparalleled quality due to the standards set by the artisans. They simply demand excellence.”

She returned to the United States with a variety of Italian garments and accessories, which she wore regularly. She soon noticed she was getting a lot of compliments, including getting stopped on the street by total strangers. That led Dayana to open Dressed In Italy, an online fashion boutique based in Sparta, featuring these imported fine Italian-made fashion items.

Dayana wanted her online shop to be an “experience” for women who visit, who will know that they are buying exclusive items direct from Italian artisans made from the finest, quality materials; all at an affordable price. That meant cutting out the middleman.

It also meant painstakingly visiting and traversing across Italy to meet and interview with artisans and factories to find the craftsmanship and partners she could depend on. She needed reliable partners who could provide superior quality.

At the heart of it all is the shop’s mission: “To create an experience unlike any other by bringing you exclusive Italian design and craftsmanship while allowing every woman the opportunity to experience the true Italian passion for life.”

Among the many items Dressed in Italy offers are: Shirts and Tunics (Camicie e Tuniche); Handbags (Borse); Dresses (Abiti); Scarves and Wraps (Sciarpe & Esegue il Wrapping) and Coats (Cappotti).

Congratulations to Dayana for all the success of Dressed in Italy. You can learn more about the shop by going to its website, Facebook or Twitter pages. If that’s the case, the ambiance of the store will surely impact your senses and you’ll feel like you’re in the heart of Italy, without ever leaving New Jersey.
