The New Jersey Business & Industry Association (NJBIA) and New Jersey Manufacturing Extension Program (NJMEP) have entered into a formal agreement to unite, broaden, and strengthen the support of manufacturing businesses throughout the state.
NJBIA, the largest statewide employer association in the nation, and NJMEP, the foremost provider of resources, programs, and information for New Jersey manufacturers, will coordinate efforts and resources to bolster advocacy, collaboration, and visibility for the industry.
NJBIA and NJMEP are working together to help manufacturers adapt to the latest innovative technologies and learn best practices to realize more than $5.8 billion in value. The partnership will see both organizations embark on an engagement campaign of New Jersey manufacturers for the purposes of building a stronger grassroots network, utilizing government affairs events and other networking events from both groups.
NJMEP and NJBIA are partnering with News12 New Jersey on their weekly Made in New Jersey television series. NJBIA’s monthly magazine, New Jersey Business, also features Unique Manufacturers monthly. Finally, NJMEP features manufacturers in its monthly magazine, Manufacturing Matters. Manufacturing Skills Initiative
The Manufacturing Skills Initiative is a strategic partnership between New Jersey’s Community Colleges, the New Jersey Business and Industry Association (NJBIA), the New Jersey Manufacturing Extension Program (NJMEP), as well as other education and workforce development partners that connect to the New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development Industry Partnerships. The initiative establishes a comprehensively structured approach to manufacturing workforce development that responds to the complexities of New Jersey’s manufacturers and at the same time provides education, training, and career opportunities that benefit all New Jersey residents.
