The New Jersey Association of Mental Health and Addiction Agencies, (NJAMHAA) is seeking presentation proposals from behavior healthcare providers and leaders on various topics for its 2024 Conference on April 9-10 in Somerset.
NJAMHAA is a trade association representing providers of clinical and support services for children, youth and adults with mental illnesses, substance use disorders, intellectual and developmental disabilities, and co-occurring health conditions.
Proposals for presentations must be submitted to NJAMHAA by Dec. 15.
In addition to its work advocating for increased government funding for behavioral health care services, NJBAMHAA educates about the availability and effectiveness of behavioral healthcare services and provides training to strengthen providers’ behavioral knowledge and skills.

Wentz, Ph.D., president and CEO of NJAMHAA. “We rely on experts from all areas of behavioral health care and leaders in other industries to share valuable expertise, insights and strategies to help individuals and organizations in behavioral health care maximize the value they can offer.”
Proposals are welcome for presentations on any of the following topics:

- Crisis Services
- Diversity, Equity and Inclusion
- Evidence-Based and Best Practices
- Identifying and Addressing Social Determinants of Health
- Innovative Service Delivery Models
- Innovative Treatment Strategies Addressing Opioid Use Disorder and Overdoses
- Issues and Solutions Concerning Children and Youth
- Managed Care
- Regulatory Challenges and How to Address Them
- School Based Services
- Services for Justice Involved Individuals
- Social Work Ethics
- Strategies for Providing Integrated Healthcare
- Telehealth and Digital Services
- Workforce Recruitment, Retention & Wellness
Proposals for presentations on other topics of interest to the behavioral healthcare field are also welcome. Each selected presentation will be a one-hour workshop.
