Community Service Award
The Community Service Award is presented to a company or organization for outstanding service in the public interest. The nominee is recognized for committed leadership in finding solutions, which go beyond corporate donations, to pressing social or economic challenges in their communities, or the state.
Throughout New Jersey’s history, employers have dedicated their organization’s resources to finding solutions to community problems. The hallmark of their actions has been the desire to give back to their communities and to serve the public interest. Nominees can be any NJBIA member whose contributions to community service have yielded real solutions to real problems. However, the nominated activity should be outside of the nominee’s normal business operations and the nominee should not profit from that activity.
Executive of the Year Award
The Executive of the Year Award is presented to an individual who has demonstrated excellence in their position as an NJBIA member company executive. The nominee has led their organization with passion and contributed to the state’s economic growth through the success of their business. The nominee is recognized for exemplary leadership and has overcome challenges to continue to advance their organization.
Outstanding Employer Award
The Outstanding Employer Award is presented to a company that has demonstrated a creative and forward-looking approach to managing their human resources, helping to make New Jersey a great place to work.
Due to changing demographics, growing competition and advancing technology, employers today are faced with enormous challenges in managing their human resources. Nominees should serve as models for other companies in meeting those challenges. These activities might include workplace safety programs, helping employees improve their skills and advance their careers, dealing creatively with changes relating to an increasingly diverse workforce and creating innovative benefits programs or support services for their workers.
Diversity & Inclusion Award
The Diversity & Inclusion Award is presented to a company or organization that encourages and rewards diversity and inclusion initiatives, including those that implement programs that improve the company climate and culture, remove barriers, and improve the working experience and engagement levels for minority groups.
The winners will be given prominent recognition in NJBIA’s magazine, New Jersey Business, which is read by over 120,000 top executives across the state and in its daily e-news service, New Jersey Business Today. A news release announcing the winners will also be sent to media statewide.
