The New Jersey Manufacturing Extension Program (NJMEP) will host its National Manufacturing Day event on Oct. 6 at The Event Center at iPlay America in Freehold.
The annual event, which NJBIA is serving as a platinum partner, aims to spread the word about the benefits manufacturing provides to New Jersey, as well as to drive awareness about the career opportunities that are available in the industry and the advanced technologies that are driving it.
“NJMEP celebrates New Jersey manufacturers who develop and manufacture products and unlock new technologies that grow our economy. They create career opportunities for tens of thousands of residents, and their competitiveness and successes revitalize the national economy,” the NJMEP stated in a release promoting the event. “National Manufacturing Day aims to empower manufacturers, change public perception about the industry, highlight its economic impact, and introduce more people to available career opportunities.”
The agenda will feature the Made in NJ Manufacturing Awards, recognizing rising stars, innovators and industry leaders, as well as networking opportunities and a robotics showcase.
