The following Committees will meet on Thursday, June 1st to vote on employment & labor bills.
The Senate Labor Committee:
S2909 – Regulates temporary help service firms as employment agencies; expands civil rights
protections of certain job seekers.
S2536 – Concerns employer inquiries about worker’s wage and salary experience.
S3199 – Increases certain penalties for violations of wage and hour law.
S3226 – Increases wages and benefits for transportation center service workers.
S3275 – Concerns health insurance benefits for locked-out workers.
The Assembly Appropriations Committee:
A4870 – Increases wages and benefits for transportation center service workers.
The Assembly Regulatory Oversight and Reform and Federal Relations Committee
* A4927 – Revises law concerning family leave, family temporary disability leave, and domestic or sexual violence safety leave.
