To bring more visibility to our members and the business issues surrounding them, NJBIA produces “Minding Your Business,” a weekly television show that airs weekends on News 12+. The show, a winner of two 2023 Telly Awards, is hosted by Bob Considine and highlights different member businesses each week. It can be seen on Saturdays at 9:30 a.m. and 7:30 p.m. and Sundays at 9:30 a.m.

On this episode of “Minding Your Business,” NJBIA President and CEO Michele Siekerka took a Main Street Stroll of small businesses in Westfield as part of NJBIA’s Year of the Business Owner campaign. After taking her walking and listening tour of several unique businesses, guided by Gene Jannotti of the Greater Westfield Chamber of Commerce, Siekerka then sat down for a roundtable discussion with other regional business owners to hear their stories, struggles, and successes.
This edition also included highlights from a panel discussion on stranded assets in New Jersey, featuring NJEDA Executive Vice President of Real Estate Development Daniel Jennings, Genova Burns Partner Matthew Kertz and Acting Director of the Department of Housing and Economic Development for the City of Trenton, Willard Alonzo Stanback.
