The Zzak G. Applaud Our Kids Foundation is hosting a virtual “Step into the Spotlight Soiree & Talent Competition” on Oct. 22 featuring an outstanding lineup of performers and celebrity judges to raise funds to bring performing arts lessons to children whose families cannot afford classes.
The Applaud Our Kids Foundation (AOK) provides 100% direct funding for up to 11 years to allow children living with financial barriers to take lessons in dance, acting, vocal, and instrumental lessons at performing arts studios close to their homes. Proceeds from the talent competition will support student scholarships as well as additional AOK Foundation programs.
According to AOK organizers, the fundraiser will be a coast-to-coast celebration featuring accomplished adult talent from New Jersey, New York and California who will perform virtually via Zoom video conferencing for judges from TV, film and Broadway. The evening will also include entertainment by the Zzak G. AOK Performance Group. Details about the contestants and judges can be found here.
Ticket prices begin at $40. Attendees and supporters may cast Audience Choice Award votes for $5 per vote, with all proceeds benefiting kids in the AOK program. For ticket information, go here.
The AOK Foundation receives assistance through partnerships with performing arts centers, music and dance academies, music studios, musical supply stores, conservatories, theaters, Boys & Girls Clubs, corporations, and community and charitable organizations. Sponsorship opportunities are still available for businesses, organizations, and individuals for the Oct. 22 event.
